ICP Creates 606 Flo Code Packs

What a Great Morning! Thanks to everyone who came to our “Flo Party”. Indivisible Cedar Park raised $700 and was able to buy enough products to make 606 “flo packs” that will be distributed to schools, shelters and to natural disaster victims.

Could you imagine being homeless on the streets and not knowing where your next pad or tampon is going to come from? Or better yet, imagine having to miss school because you don’t have access to menstrual products. This is the reality for women right here in our own community.

Thank you Lamanda for all the great work you and your team do with Flo Code and for bringing awareness to this matter. You ladies ROCK!! www.flocode.org

Changing the conversation. Flo Code is a leader and support organization in the Austin community donating over 330,000 menstrual products to 30+ organizations, shelters and natural disaster victims. At Flo Code we work to advance the common good by focusing on health, education and social injustice in our community. We also strive to educate, bring awareness to and end the stigma of menstruation in our society. Continuously encouraging our volunteers to make a difference each month by attending our Flo Parties and advocating for underprivileged women’s health.

ICP Donates to WCCAC

Today we dropped off a check to Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center for $800 to help these kids and their families have a happy holiday. Thank you again to all the many folks here that donated. You guys rock! And thank you to Heather Sanders Jefts and Anna Smith for all you do, including being board members of WCCAC.

Please join us in helping these children and families have a happy holiday. Learn more here: https://wilcocac.org

The Children’s Advocacy Center is Williamson County’s intake center for all children reported to be victims of abuse or neglect. When a Williamson County child is identified as a potential victim, they are brought to the center by law enforcement or Child Protective Services. They work with their partners to walk each child and their non-offending family members through the process of reporting their abuse and give them access to numerous support services, including medical examinations, family advocacy, mental health counseling and education, free of charge. Many children and families will come through this holiday season. We want to make sure they have some normalcy and happiness in the most difficult of times.
